Dec 23, 2010Holiday Time

At first I was going to make this blog post all about how I'm a horrible person who never blogs, but it's pretty obvious to see that since the last time I posted anything was over four months ago. So I'll just make this quick and simple by saying that I've been super busy. Now, I haven't been busy to the point where I should have neglected my blog for four months, but I guess I needed a little hiatus. But then on Saturday I wrote this huge message on Facebook to someone and it sparked me inside to want to blog again so here I am!

Now, the actual point of this post: how much I love this time of the year! There's so many things I love about this time of year; I get to see people, the Christmas lights on people's houses, the music, me breaking from my general routine of going to school. However, the most important thing is being about to bake obscene amounts of food without getting yelled at for using too much butter/flour/sugar.

I've already made chocolate peppermint crinkle cookies and buckeyes, then today I made a pumpkin cheesecake and these cinnamon sugar coated almonds. Tomorrow I'm debating making peppermint marshmallows, but after just looking at a variety of different recipes on them I think I will... that is if I can get to the store and buy gelatin.

There are so many other things that I would have loved to make (peppermint patties anyone?), but just don't have the time to do it. Unfortunately, before I go back on the third, I have to read and outline a chapter in my history book as well as read two parts of The Unbearable Lightness of Being since I didn't read the first part entirely. I make no promises, but I hope to be seeing you guys within the next four months.

As my parents would say "Study first, play later." The blogging world understands, and you are not a horrible person for it.

My favorite part of the holidays is people like you! XD

Actually I did do my part, be it very very small, in helping my sister bake ginger-snappers, pumpkin cookies, cheesecake pies, and amazing chocolate chip cookies.

    NOM!
