So it was my birthday today and I completely forgot to blog last year and didn't want to have that occur again this year so I'm just going to jump in and post a quick entry. My day was pretty good, it was kinda chilly so I didn't go outside for more than a couple minutes. As for my cake, it was a strawberry shortcake cake and I'll have that up on NiftyFifty once I upload and edit the pictures. My gifts were all baking oriented, including pans, pastry brushes, and silicon mats, as well as spices bottles but one was broken and needs to be returned.
Yup, that means I'm 16. Officially legal to be able to drive in New York (once I get my permit). I plan on taking the test for the permit either Saturday (if the DMV is open) or sometime next week. I just knew I wouldn't pass because a) I didn't study and b) I would second guess myself.
You should definitely study the permit test through the DMV quiz site. It helped me a lot. If you're in the NYC area, I suggest you take the road test in Staten Island.

My permit test was incredibly easy. I'm not sure how different it is in New York, but I'm sure you'll pass.
All of my questions were primarily common sense questions. If you're in a car a lot, or you know what most of the signs mean, you'll pass.
